IMPAQ RG1080 C18 - Introduction
Chlorodimethyloctadecyl silane (abbreviation: DC 518) is a kind of organic silicon compound, its molecular structure contains chlorine atom, methyl group and octadecyl group. DC 518 is a colorless liquid, relatively stable at room temperature.
The silica hydrolysate is a product obtained by reacting silica (SiO2) with water. It usually exists as a gel or powder, with a large specific surface area and adsorption capacity.
DC 518 can be used as surfactants, emulsifiers and Defoamers. It is commonly used in industry as a wetting agent, ink, paint and plastic products. The main effect of DC 518 is to increase wettability and decrease surface tension.
As a method for producing a DC 518, a chemical synthesis method is generally used. In particular, it can be obtained by reacting silanamine and formic acid chloride.
Note the following safety information when using or storing DC 518:
1. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, which may cause irritation and sensitivity.
2. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
3. In use should maintain good ventilation, avoid inhalation of gas and vapor.
4. Storage should be placed in a dry, cool and ventilated place, and away from fire and oxidant.
5. Please read the product safety instructions before use and follow the correct operating procedures.
